Mailbox Memories Rekindled

শুভ দোলযাত্রা! Happy Holi! I am sure everybody made the best of the fest with absolute zest! After exchanging the niceties … let me tell you something interesting. Well well.. I took a walk down memory lane. Din’t have to work hard for that though. Just opened my Yahoo mailbox and read very old mails dating back to 2003. Those I wrote to my pals and they wrote back to me. Crazy kids we were! I had a great time laughing reading them Man those were days The internet was like new to us and Yahoo mail was the best mail service around (with it’s miniscule 4 MB limit)! It was like reading a diary. And it is a goldmine. My inbox.. I found. It’s rich with experiences and info I wanted to share with friends and whatever they shared back. Finer details of many small incidents. I totally forgot that one friend had actually got 8 in additional maths in Madhyamik but it’s there in those mails! Also, my mailbox has quite a few pics of girls a friend had befriended over net and shown to me I am quite overwhelmed by the mailbox memories rekindled. Since there were no social networks then people took mailing seriously. Or I did, at least. Also I had a different style then. While reading them, I did grow a tad nostalgic but not much. More importantly, when I read very old writings I get to know myself better. Also while reading them, at the back of my mind, i gave blogging about it a thought. So here I am blogging it!
