EVDO Out of Stock in Siliguri

Today I had been to the Siliguri Telephone Exchange to get an EVDO for a friend. Unfortunately, we were told at the counter that they have run out of stock! Then we went to the WLL office on the 2nd floor to meet a senior executive who confirmed that it won’t be available till at least 2 months from now. 2 months?!! That was enough to unsettle Kuntal’s mood who kept sulking all the way back to college! More so because we had to kind of rush to the exchange after managing to gobble up our lunch in a jiffy. Lucky that the eye lecture supposed to be taken at 1 din’t happen. And guess what, we went armed with the form duly filled up, the necessary papers and cash kept ready. Anyways, we also asked the executive if Kuntal could get an EVDO from his home at Burdwan (assuming its available there) whether he could use it here. To which he said yes as there are no roaming charges for EVDO. I am glad I have already got the EVDO connection almost a month ago.
