From this Techpointer article it becomes evident that a mobile user spends 200-400 on average per month.

I end up spending a lot to fuel my connection as I stay away from home. Here are my spending details for my Airtel prepaid connection -

  • Validity - Rs. 299 every 3 months. That is Rs. 100 per month.
  • Nightime Recharge - Rs. 98
  • Airtel NOP GPRS - Rs. 99
  • Hello Tune subscription - Rs. 30
  • Missed Call Alert Subscription - Rs. 15
  • Talktime - Rs. 200

So that makes a total of about Rs. 550.
