I am sure my friends will recall the intellectual revolution that was once witnessed by Just Baked, Golpark. It was because we were having adda sessions there mostly. In 2011 itself, we went to the cafe nearly 70-80 times. And we discussed matters of great depth. It was only natural that our presence took the standard of the place to great heights. This year, Ballygunge Circular Road CCD is experiencing a similar intellectual revolution, a cultural renaissance of sorts. The reason - we have shifted base there. Well the Just Baked coffee was no more good. This year we have been to Ballygunge Circular Road CCD some 20 times already. Good thing about the place is it’s not crowded. The location ensures that it is not thronged by crass college goers. It is frequented by celebs from the Tolly world. Saw Dinesh Trivedi one day when the poor guy was still the Railway Minister. Even saw Tutu Bose one evening. One day we were considering the influence of Rabindrasangit remix on society. Suddenly we realized the lady sipping her coffee on the adjacent table is none other than Srabani Sen! Guess what we have at CCD during our addas. Well eating is not the idea, adda is! We have coffee - the no nonsence cappuccino. We have it with cookies. Oatmeal and honey cookies mostly.
