I have been trying to play the The Symbol Quest game. It’s pretty challenging and hard to crack. You have to pick the correct symbol based on the question and drag it to the centre. You can take three chances i.e. you get 3 lives before you die and start afresh - but there is no time limit. There are 33 symbols in all for you to decipher after which you are greeted with a congratulatory message. The first 33 readers to do so win a signed copy of the book. 33, as you will find in the novel, is a very significant number!

The game is nowhere near as engaging as the DVC challenge but it is for sure that you will require several hours to crack it. If you need some help, feel free to refer to the hints I have supplied to the questions faced by me. I will complete this list once I have completed the game.

Hieroglyph of seven body parts in one: Just google it.

Octothorpe: Google to know what it stands for. A very common symbol.

Latin “recipe” offered by doctors: This one is easy. Doctors will write this at the top of your prescription every time.

Centaur archer: Think of a zodiac sign.

Cirle’s diameter divided by its radius: Too easy. It’s a math symbol.

Greek goddess of triumph: Name of a brand too!

The “S” in Mozart’s “D.S.”:  It’s a musical notation.

Casanova, Mozart and Houdini had this in common: Knowing what they had in common is the key.

Leo’s caste neighbour: Easy one. Think zodiac signs.

Alpha’s antithesis: Another easy one.

Who uses this symbol?: An easy question for a would-be-doc like me!

Sounds like a resident in the garden of Eden: This one is a bit challenging! I resorted to Google for help.

Venus’s hand mirror: Venus is a female god, remember!

Proofreader’s mark from Latin ‘delere’: Google ‘proofreading symbols’.

Anagram of ‘Madras Pen’: Although a bit tricky, I solved this in a few seconds. The anagram is a very common symbol, present on your keyboard also!

Iesous christos theou yios soter: Related to Christian symbology.

Quicksilver: It is another name for a metal.

Robert Langdon’s favorite symbol: It’s an Egyptian hieroglyophic that stands for ‘eternal life’.

One-eyed man + two ravens: Symbol of a god with these features.

Zeus’s games: Easy one. The grandest sports ceremony on earth.

Without end: Think Maths!
