Director extraordinaire Rituporno Ghosh has been sporting a clean shaved head for sometime. Though he continues to look great and exude his glamour even with a bald, I can’t help wondering why on earth he chose to shed those curls. Clear enough, to stop the annoying Meer. Famous anchor-man Meer won the hearts of all by mimicking PC Sorcar, Mithunda and Reetuporno among others - of these celebrities Meer’s favourite (ours too) is Rituporno. From Hau Mau Khau to Mirakkel and even on stage shows, Meer has been busy copying the typical Rituporno-style with perfection much to our amusement. The director’s annoyance was apparent. In an interview to a Bengali daily when asked about Rituparna’s reaction, Meer disclosed what Rituporno told him- “Toke chata marbo” (will slap ya). The hot favourite Biskfarm commercial doing rounds on TV, where Meer dons a Ritu wig and says purro-o-o makh-o-o-o-n (I never miss to watch this ad), Rituporno has had enough. He decided to don a new look. Now, at least, Meer will have to get his hair clean mowed to put the director in embarassment again.

I dont know whether Meer has anything to do with Rituparno’s going bald. But Ritu could always take the whole affair with a pinch of salt. As our great Laloo says “hamara nakal utarke koi agar do paisa kama sake, to hum-e kya dikkat hai ?!” Ritu could easily tread on that path. Afterall mimicry is, as they say, is actually an admiration.
