As I have to stay away from home for my studies, I have to shell out big bucks to fuel my connection. This offer has been like manna from heaven. Now I can talk at length with my family. A 20 minute conversation costs me just Rs. 2.
Postpaid customers will have to submit a mandate form to activate Excel Power.
Prepaid users can activate the service by sending an SMS to 3733.
1. Type a message in the following format:

Note: Landline or WLL no must be with STD code

2. Now send it to 3733. You will get an acknowledgement SMS like this:
Your request for Excel Power is under processed (sic). the facility will be provided after verification shortly.
3. The facility will be activated within 7 days - took 3 days in my case. A confirmation message is supposed to come which never really came to me, one fine day I found I am being charged @ 10 p. Voila!
Excel Anant and OneIndia customers, however, can’t avail of this facility.

As I had sent SMS for activation, so I got the message that your request for Excel Power has been rejected for the activation as you have already get the facility, the earmarked date is the date on which I sent the request for activation of new number by updating old number. Then I contacted customer care Executive at BSNL office, Model Town, Phagwara but regret to inform you that the concerned Madam said that you have to go to Jalandhar to file the request for activation of this facility Sorry to say the above mentioned EXCEL Power Scheme has not been activated so far and I am being harassed for getting my genuine problem solved. one more enquiry is that on 27-3-2008, i sent sms to 56700 to activate ‘Gayathri Mantra’ will be set as my BSNL turens for all. but still BSNL tunes service will not be activated even charge has been taken. please activate this tune.

Sir, I just want to know that I have used this EXL POWER scheme to reduce the call rate of my landline no thru my BSNL mobile no and this service was activated @ rate of 10 paise. Now the problem is that I have changed my landline no. So is there any scenario that I can forward my that scheme i.e. @ rate of 10 paise to my new landline number??
