You pointed out every single details with with a jeweller's precision but I'll beg to differ with you on one count,Iam highly impressed with Audrey Tautou. She looked very cute in the movie & I don't think selecting her has spoiled the movie. Yeah it's true that the movie has overlooked the novel in certain points which was totally unnecessary (like not presenting Sauniere as Sophie's real grandfather&finding the relevance of A.Pope via a WAP enabled mobile phone in a city bus rather than a library in London) I personally think it was an honest & praise-worthy effort on part of director Ron Howard &the entire crew of DVC to deliver an overall interesting&enjoyable manifestation of the highly rated novel. It was not possible to condense the entire 487 page novel in a 140 minute movie without certain alterations. All in all I think it is a good movie & ought to be watched by all who have read the novel. brilliant job……..no doubt about it.
