Dreams, Ever Changing!

When I was a kid of 6-7 years I dreamt to become a writer. That was a direct effect of the huge number of story-books I used to devour, a diehard bookworm as I was (and still am). I used to make a lot of fuss while eating and Mom used to persuade me with the promise of buying story books. Even today I have the same dream, but with much less colour.

Apart from books, newspapers were also my great friends. And I read almost all news with rapt attention, like an old man as Mom would say. So, by the time, I was in class 5-6, I was determined to become a politician. I used to imagine myself as the Prime Minister of India addressing the nation. I would chalk out elaborate plans how to develop India.

A couple of years later, I wanted to become a journalist. The real-life situation in this job attracted me a lot, add to that writing stories.

In class 10 and onwards — with news of more and more Indian businessmen entering the fortune 500 list, Indian multimillionaires rocking at the international stage, IT tycoons like Sabir Bhatia, etc. becoming common — all I wanted to become was an industrialist.

Reading this, psycho-analysts may say that so much deviation in my dreams suggests that I lack focus in my life. May be that is true. Or is it normal? I don’t know. And my dreams are a bit different than those of most of my friends. This is because of the fact that I hardly watch the TV. I have, however, realized one thing — that is, whatever I become in life, above everything I should be a good human being.

Right now I dream to be what? Well, no time to dream right now, the academic pressures are telling upon me at this moment. Bye. Catch up with you later. ;-)
