Here are some facts to help you with a understanding of this huge number:
- 25% of the US population
- Over 2 times the population of Canada
- 50% of the Russian population
- 16% of the population in the European Union
- 60% of the Japanese population
- 6% of the Chinese population

The rate of Firefox download is shooting up every moment and the billionth download milestone is not far way.
The days of Internet Explorer are gone. Many users are still stuck with IE because of their ignorance of technology. And mind, ignorance is not always a bliss. FF has simply devoured IE. Opera is giving a good fight. But Opera is not freeware. Neither is it open source. So, in Opera you have to stay content with the features they pack in. But as FF is open source, you can choose from a plethora of extensions each designed independently by developers and suited to different needs.
There are too many reasons why you should use Firefox. But what really makes FF stand tall is its robust security when compared to the innumerable security loopholes in IE.
